Support Me

If a child is thriving, everyone’s thriving.

That’s why sponsorship matters so much to me!  When you sponsor a child through World Vision, you're not only personally showing God’s love to a child in need, you’re also investing in a proven way to help that child and their community stand tall, free from poverty.

Here's my story...

Growing up, I was always involved in church. Going on mission trips, being involved with kids camp, and participating in various retreats and camps. I specifically remember going on a mission to a poverty stricken neighborhood in Pittsburgh, PA where we helped at a soup kitchen and played games with the children, enjoyed a meal with them, and learned about their stories. It was amazing to see how building a relationship with a child drastically changed their day.  My parents always taught me how important it was to give back to God and others. As kids, my brothers and I learned to give 10% of our income/allowance away (to church, to others, etc). My family had the opportunity to sponsor a girl from Malawi from when she was young until about 16 years old. The pictures and letters we received had such an impact on me because we got to see the world through someone else’s eyes. For only $39 a month, you can make a difference in a child’s life. You can walk alongside a child and not only support them by helping to provide clean water, food, education, healthcare, and economic development but they also can teach you about the world through experiences that we can’t even fathom. With public funding and grants, each child you sponsor, 4 more children are benefited with World Vision’s community based model. Each child in our sponsorship program is matched with one sponsor. You are the only sponsor for your sponsored child. You can get to know your sponsored child through letters and photos, packages, and email. They’re real children with real stories.
