If a child is thriving, everyone’s thriving.
That’s why sponsorship matters so much to me! When you sponsor a child through World Vision, you're not only personally showing God’s love to a child in need, you’re also investing in a proven way to help that child and their community stand tall, free from poverty.
Here's my story...
Hello dear friends and family. You know how passionate I am about health and wellness for all people. For as long as I can remember, I have had a heart for making a difference in developing nations. I first became aware of Child Sponsorship through World Vision in March of 2018. I was impressed with their community development model made possible by collectively pooling the sponsorships of individual children in that village. That was when I sponsored my first child, a beautiful 12 year old girl in a village in Ledia, DR Congo. What joy I have experienced through written communication and video as I have learned more about her interests, needs, family, and community. Through sponsorship I know she is receiving health care, nutrition, education, and support for her family to make a living. More importantly I am able to come alongside her family in providing love and hope for a better future.
In December of 2019 I made the decision to become a World Vision Child Ambassador, to share with others the opportunity to change the life and future of a child in a developing nation through Child Sponsorship. What an impact we can make together as compassionate, generous people in the lives of families living in impoverished, unsafe conditions with little hope. In December of 2020 I decided to sponsor a second child, this time through the World Vision option of Chosen, where it is the children in a village who get to choose their sponsors. I submitted our photo and we were Chosen by a little 4 year old boy and his mother in the village of Choam Khsant, Cambodia, because I "look like grandmother" :)
This is your invitation now to consider becoming a Child Sponsor. I would be so excited to help you connect with a child in need of your love and support. Call me if you have questions or are ready to choose your child or be Chosen.
